UWATEC Dive Computers: Technology and Algorithms

UWATEC dive computers are based on the ZHL-8 ADT MB PMG algorithm. This is a mathematical model, which increases safety, doing optimizations of bottom time and constantly adjusting the decompression plan when risk factors or potential of formation of the micro-bubbles (MB) are detected.

UWATEC dive computers have following mounting options:

  1. wrist dive computer (dive computer watch style – Aladin Tec 2G, Aladin Prime, Meridian);
  2. wrist units (Galileo SOL and Galileo Luna);
  3. computer consoles (with Aladin dive computer)

UWATEC Dive Computers: Main Specs & Functions

  1. ZHL-8 ADT MB PMG algorithm;
  2. 8 tissue compartment calculation;
  3. MB (micro-bubbles) levels – user adjustable levels from L1 to L5; choosing levels from 1st to 5th makes algorithm more conservative;
  4. heart rate monitor for precise workload calculation;
  5. PO2 adjustment 1.2-1.6 bar;
  6. multigas option – set up to 3 gas mixes;
  7. dive options: air/nitrox/gauge;
  8. firmware upgrade for freedive mode;
  9. user adjustable mid tank pressure warning;
  10. central nervous system (CNS) toxicity loading warning;
  11. dive planner;
  12. digital compass (only in Luna and SOL UWATEC dive computers);
  13. personalization options;
  14. user replaceable batteries;
  15. data retention;
  16. possibility to store up to 100 grey-scale bitmap pictures;
  17. graphical charts to let you review the dive profile at any time;
  18. infrared port for PC interface, etc.
