When someone says ‘Oceanic’ – you imagine right away not only Oceanic dive computers, but full range of scuba diving equipment with highest quality grade and all possible versatility! Because Oceanic is a world best-known brand that doesn't need to be introduced twice!
Everything starts from something and OCEANIC is not an exception from this rule.
Oceanic dive computers count such recognizable models - OC1, OSC, DataMask, Geo and many others.
Before founding OCEANIC in 1972, Bob Hollis, who is CEO of OCEANIC, started scubadiving in the late 1950’s. That activity became his hobby very soon. He also became underwater photography enthusiast and started designing and manufacturing housings for underwater cameras and strobes in his machine shop in 1965.
It was not too long before local divers started asking Mr. Hollis to make some scuba gear for them. And that was the beginning of the great story.
Bob Hollis founded American Underwater Products in 1972 and OCEANIC official history started from that time.
The concept of the first dive computer was introduced to the industry in the early 1980’s.
OCEANIC has a great history of designing and manufacturing outstanding scuba diving equipment. It has very wide range of the highest quality and standards products for diving, snorkeling, and swimming activities.

Oceanic Dive Computers: Technology and Algorithms
Oceanic dive computers made by based on the modified Haldanean algorithm and DSAT database, and some of models use Dual Algorithm: Pelagic Z+ and Pelagic DSAT, like Oceanic Veo line of models, Geo 2, and Oceanic leader – OC1.
Now we may choose between liberal and conservative diving just by pressing couple of buttons!
We may say that Oceanic dive computers are something very special in our days, just would be enough to recall OC1 and DataMask, OCS and Atom 3. These models gave us ultimate and unforgettable experience in diving!
When researching, you may notice that Oceanic dive computers, Aeris and Tusa models have many features and functions in common. And it should not be a big surprise for you, because these companies and Hollis brand are members of Pelagic Group.
OCEANIC dive computers designed with many patented new features, which make them really unique and that can satisfy the most demanding diver. You will see some of the newest features and functions in our short video introduction.
Oceanic dive computers have following mounting options:
- computer consoles (some of dive instruments may be used as wrist-top computer or in console, depending on your needs);
- wrist-top computers (dive watch computer style - GEO, GEO 2, VT3, OC1, OCS, and others);
- unit built directly into the scuba mask (Oceanic DataMask);
